Voice Over Weekly Stew | August 7, 2020

I had a TON of tech difficulties Friday, 8/7 when trying to do my LIVE video stream. Power outage, rebooting computer, software forcing a repair update, thunderstorms and sketchy internet service causing freezes to name just a few – so I cleaned up what was salvageable and worth putting out there.

I’m still trying to figure out “why” I’m doing this in addition to how to format the “Voice Over Weekly Stew” and the thing I am learning about myself is after doing this for 8 weeks now is I am no longer rattled or uneasy when things don’t go as planned which is a win. Since I don’t journal – if nothing else I have a chronicle (or my kids/grandkids do) of what my life was like in 2020.

2019 – what an AMAZING year in my voiceover business! Reflecting this weekend on expectations a year ago and how God blessed me with so many opportunities and creative challenges and new business – far exceeding my goals. With completely trusting the Holy Spirit as my business manager there is no limit to what 2020 can bring! On October 16, 2012 I was officially unemployed and figuring out what to do. Seven years later to the day I reflect back on what an amazing faith  journey with God it has been and some background on how I got here. Thanks for watching!

Voice Over Weekly Stew #1 of “who knows how many”!
This video begins a weekly overview of my voice over business. I’ve attempted this periodically over the last several years and got overwhelmed by a crazy production schedule that crowded it out – I’m committed to making it work this time by keeping it simple.

Talking about my first live event/emcee gig.
On October 2 I did something completely outside my comfort zone – I emceed a live event in front of 300 people high atop the Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway. It was for an amazing elearning client – Energy Worldnet that I had done VO work for since 2016. Now that I’ve had a week to process and reflect here is a video that shares my thoughts and experience. Thanks for watching!
